Vegan pick ‘n’ mix in the UK

Hey. Do you love vegan pick ‘n’ mix?

Hey (again). Do you love saving money when you buy vegan pick ‘n’ mix?

Yes to both? Keep reading!

Sugar Noms is a fab new UK-based family-owned business on a mission to spread vegan sweets across the land.

They recently sent me some products to try and I was in heaven.

The bag of bonbons lasted about two hours, while the bag o’bubs hang around slightly a little longer. I shared the third packed with friends because even a Fat Gay Vegan has limits.

Sugar Noms has got sweets, chocolates, and fudge in pre-packed or build your own bag options.

Some interesting info about the business:

  • 💚 100% vegan
  • 💙 Letterbox friendly boxes
  • 💜 100% recyclable and eco-packaging
  • ❤️ Nationwide UK postage
  • 💜 Can cater for your wedding and party sweets
  • 💚 Owned & run by vegans – they are vegan for the animals!

And how about those savings?

Vegan pick n mix sweet company launches in UK

The Vegan Candy Company believes that yummy sweets should be enjoyed by everyone.

Founded by Joanna and Lorraine, The Vegan Candy Company has created their own vegan sweet supply store. They believe vegan products shouldn’t have to come with a premium price tag and they’ve worked hard to bring their customers affordable vegan pick n mix at a sweet price.

Joanna and Lorraine are building their business in order to give back to animal rescue charities and to make plant-based confectionery the norm. As they grow, they intend to choose a selection of charities to which they will donate a portion of their profits.

The Vegan Candy Company currently offers its vegan pick n mix range with over 40 varieties of sweets that can be delivered straight to your door.

You can learn more about the company and order your own vegan pick n mix by visiting The Vegan Candy Company online here.

The pick n mix can be purchased in a 500g box, a 1kg box, and a 1kg monthly subscription box.

You can follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Mexican chocolate

As you might know, I am currently in Mexico City where I am eating up a storm.

Stay tuned here or to my Instagram feed for lots of shots of delicious vegan food from the Mexican capital.

Photo above shows a bag of giant dark chocolate and almond treats I bought in the nearby grocery store. They are fabulous.

Cool as coconut ice

Hands up if you have been waiting your entire vegan career for mail order fudge and coconut ice. You can’t tell but I paused between typing sentences to throw my chubby, queer hands into the air in exultation.

Coconut Rose Bakery recently got in touch with me to ask if I wanted to review some of their mail order vegan sweets. Me? Why on Earth did they think of little ol’ me?

Based in Preston, Coconut Rose Bakery is a small, home-operated vegan baked goods company that will ship what you want right to your door. They specialise in fudge, coconut ice, cupcakes and treats for special occasions.

The photo below shows my delivery of Orange Fudge and Violet Coconut Ice. Both were delicious and left me wanting to explore the other flavours, especially the fudge. Knowing these people can deliver vegan fudge to my front door is dangerous information.

Thanks to Coconut Rose Bakery for my delights. I thoroughly enjoyed them and I hope lots of fans of handcrafted, vegan sweets get in touch to place an order.

FGV approved.

But first of all let me say

It is would be so ridiculously easy for a chubby, queer plant eater like me to make a million jokes about sugar and overeating when writing about an online vegetarian confectionery store. The hilarity almost writes itself.

I am going to stick to the facts and throw open the joke writing challenge to you… the witty reader. Get your thinking caps on and hit me with your best funny lines about FGV and sweet eating. Post your comedy gold in the comments below.

Meanwhile, I’ll fill you in with all the details you need to know about this fabulous new online sweet shop in the UK.

October is my favourite month

Being vegan in London has just been blown sky high with amazingness. If you think that sounds like hyperbole on overdrive, check out the new vegan patisserie known as October Cafe and you’ll soon see the reason for my excitement.

Following a disappointing, half-uneaten breakfast at another vegan establishment, Josh and I were on the lookout for something to lift our spirits. We hopped a few buses, walked along Old Street in the City of London for a short while and arrived at one of the loveliest vegan experiences in existence.

I’m too much in love

Moo Free vegan chocolate

An important part of my FGV job description is to search out the most delicious candy and chocolate in the world. I don’t want to do it, but I must if I intend to keep hold of my position. My chubby, queer fingers glumly wade through foil and wrappers in search of the best sugar out there. It is grueling.

But it isn’t all bad news, for you all get to live vicariously through my eating adventures. I don’t mind doing the hard yards if it means I get to share with you news of tasty vegan products. It is in this sharing spirit I inform you of one of the most delicious vegan chocolates available anywhere. Moo Free is creamy, tasty and incredibly satisfying. Want to see more? Come on then, I’ll unwrap it for you.
