After what feels like a lifetime of plotting and planning, London Vegan Beer Fest is coming back on Saturday 19 September, 2026. Yes, really. It has been gone since 2018 and now it is returning.
And I’m excited to hear from independent breweries and food traders who want to be a part of the day in Mile End, East London.

I’m so old-fashioned. I often read the free community newspapers that you find near the front door of supermarkets. I like sticking my beak into local news.
Today I picked up a copy of the Islington Gazette and while flicking through the pages, I found out there is such a thing as a Paddington themed afternnon tea served on a double decker bus.
And there is a vegan option!

Too Good To Go is an app through which businesses sell food and groceries that is close to or on its best before date.
The app helps business make a little bit more revenue on food that would otherwise be trashed if left unsold, gives consumers a chance to save a few quid, and works to direct food away from being wasted or tossed in landfill.
The app allows you to search by map and by keywords. Today I located a small grocery store near Kings Cross that was offering a £5 mystery bag that was labelled as vegan with a retail value of more than £15.

The almost 16-year FGV journey has been a wild ride of ups and downs.
I’ve written more blog posts than I could possibly remember, hosted supper clubs, curated markets, traveled on cruises, published a book, spoken on panels, and met thousands of people.
One of the things I’ve been most proud of throughout all this time is London Vegan Beer Fest and I was sad when it came to a premature end in 2018.
But now it is back in a big way and early bird tickets are on sale now!
