By now you are well aware of the giant fundraiser party called Bowl For Oceans taking place on Sunday January 6, 2013 from midday until 5pm. I don’t need to tell you that we will be raising money for Sea Shepherd UK while bowling, listening to awesome DJs, performing karaoke and playing pool in a Central London location. You know all of this!

And you also know the party is being sponsored by Fry’s UK and Barrow Boys Crisps. Your knowledge also extends to being aware of the Facebook event page where you have RSVPd and invited all your friends. I won’t waste your time by telling you this again.

The only bit of info relating to the party that I’m not convinced you know is where to buy tickets. So here we go:

Tickets can be bought at Ms. Cupcake in Brixton and Vx in Kings Cross

As you all are aware, the massive fundraiser party Bowl For Oceans is coming up on Sunday January 6, 2013 in Central London. This special event is taking place in order to raise money for Sea Shepherd UK and will be packed with fun activities such as bowling, karaoke and pool tables. On Sunday January 6, 2013 you will not want to be anywhere else other than The Kingpin Suite near Russell Square in Central London. Compassionate party goers are set to really warm up this mid-Winter weekend with bowling, karaoke, music and a full bar at the Bloomsbury Lanes complex.

In just 12 months London Vegan Potluck has become somewhat of an institution. The first Wednesday of every month has been turned into a glorious sea of vegan food delights.

But we don’t just stuff ourselves silly and stroke our bellies. Sometimes London vegans like to give back. In that spirit, we turned the most recent London Vegan Potluck into a fundraiser for Animal Aid. Sponsored by the wonderful Tupperware Man, the event raised approximately £150 for the charity through a raffle and partial sales donations.

(The Tupperware Man can also be found selling his wares this week as part of the super camp Dixie’s Tupperware Party at the Soho Theatre)

Leeds city centre isn’t exactly drowning in vegan food choices, but there is a special eatery that has  been keeping our lot nutritiously-fed for over 20 years.

Hansa’s Gujarati Vegetarian Restaurant is every bit as much an institution as it is a success story. Hansa Dabhi is an accomplished chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, travel guide and business person. She has been at the forefront of quality dining in West Yorkshire for more than two decades and her North Street location employs an all-female staff. Hansa has made many appearances in support of her first cookbook and has been rigorously promoting her second.  Charities supported by Hansa and her customers include Saraswati Vidayala, an organisation committed to constructing schools in India. As you can gather from this paragraph, Hansa is a busy human… and I haven’t even described her food yet.
