Vegan cafe for sale

This is the moment for which all budding vegan entrepreneurs have been waiting.

But the sad news first.

The much-loved Moose’s Kitchen in St. Leonards-On-Sea (Hastings) is set to close. The owner is moving on due to the arrival of a baby in her life and she is super keen to keep the location completely plant-based, hence her desire to find a vegan buyer.

The photo below is a screen shot from the commercial property website listing the sale. Click here to visit the website.

cafe for saleIt is a gorgeous-looking cafe on the shop-lined Kings Road. The spot is a one minute walk to the train station and not much more to the seafront.

What a wonderful opportunity for vegan food lovers. Get your finances in order and snap this place up. Keep it vegan!

What a day!

Today was intense.

I work with Fry’s Family Foods and one of my jobs is to help run stands and exhibits at shows. Today marked the return of the Animal Aid Christmas Fayre to Kensington Town Hall and I got to take Fry’s to the masses. It was intense.

The event was packed solid with thousands of compassionate people, all jostling to get some tasty food and support the animal charities in attendance. Animal Aid do a faultless job putting this event on and I think it would be lovely if you followed them on Twitter.

It was a wonderful day full of happy faces. I was completely worn out from running the stand for Fry’s but the endless stream of friendly greetings from the crowd kept me on my toes and feeling upbeat.

I am indebted to the incredible volunteers from Animal Equality who helped with staffing the Fry’s stand. I honestly could not have done it without them. Please follow this fabulous group on Twitter.

Another crucial component of the day was Sara of Pomodoro E Basilico. Sara cooked from 9:00am until 4:30pm non-stop so we had delicious bolognese to hand out to hundreds and hundreds of people. She was a powerhouse and you should all follow her food business on Twitter.

Now I need my bed. I’m worn out.

13th Note Glasgow

I am slowly working my way through reporting back to you on the vegan wonders of Glasgow. I can see why it has often been named ‘Best vegan UK city’. The place is absolutely heaving with vegan-friendly eateries.

Take The 13th Note as one example.

This vegetarian cafe is primarily a live music venue, but food certainly doesn’t take a back seat.  My group ate extremely well as you will notice from the photos below.

Chocolate forever

This is my second post about chocolate within a week, but I am unrepentant. Chocolate is worth covering twice in a seven day period. I’ll fight whoever says it isn’t.

I’m not sure what I have been doing with my life to somehow let this gorgeous brand of chocolate slip past me. Have you tried any of the vegan flavours listed below? (Be warned: it is a long list and will kickstart your cravings in a major way)
