Josh got back home from a week long trip to the USA, so of course I was expecting some vegan treats.
He didn’t let me down.
Even with his meagre carry on baggage allowance, he managed to squeeze in the following goodies for me.

Leicester, you have a new vegan cake mogul and the stuff they are selling looks delicious!
V:GD is about as healthy as cake can get, but without sacrificing the taste.
Towns and cities around the UK are taking part in a vegan revolution.
It feels as though I am posting one entry a week about a new vegan shop or cafe opening somewhere in the country.
Next up? Exmouth!
Exmouth is a coastal town in Devon, a region situated in the south west of England. It isn’t a huge town, but they certainly seem to have enough people to support this brand new vegan business called Plantbased.
A vegetarian Italian restaurant that has long attracted vegans has shut its doors in London.
Amico Bio has posted the following message on its website:
We are very sorry to inform you that our Holborn restaurant will be closed due to a restructuring programme, however, our Barbican branch will remain open as usual with extended opening hours. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please check back for further updates.
I’m not sure if that means the Holborn branch is gone forever, but if you are a fan of Amico Bio you can still visit their remaining central London location at 44 Cloth Fair.
How do you feel about the Holborn Amico Bio closing?
Wanna see the glorious vegan groceries I bought yesterday?
Scroll down below for the killer line up of goods I snagged from Vegan Ville, the fabulous vegan grocery store in Mexico City.
Even for someone as obsessed with food as I am, these groceries pushed me into the realm of super happy.
Josh has left me all alone in Mexico City for a week to jet off to the USA.
He took some time out of his busy schedule of enjoying sunshine and making eyes at alligators in Florida to send me the following photos he took in a Whole Foods Market outlet.
Check out all the amazing vegan products rammed into these fridges!
London, get hungry.
The Duke’s Head pub in Highgate is known as a specialty beer pub, but also as a supporter of independent food traders in the capital. Each month, the kitchen at the Duke’s Head is handed over to caterers as a form of rolling pop-up kitchen.
Pulled Food is the current trader. The meat-centric food providers have a lot of animal products on their menu, but good news for plant eaters is the inclusion of a BBQ jackfruit burger being served for the entire month of February (2016).
Check out the glory in the photos below.
Love nut cheese but not sure what in the world you would need to do in order to make it?
This class is for you, London!
My friends at Made in Hackney have organised a superb sounding vegan cheese masterclass in partnership with raw chef and nutritional therapist, Bruna Oliveira.
Bruna says of the event:
Would you, if you could, buy vegan food from the TARDIS?
Doctor Who fans, please remain calm with your arms inside the blog post at all times.
Over the past week or so, I have been hearing rumours and rumblings of a police box in Glasgow that had been turned into a micro café that was vegan-friendly.
I wasted no time in reaching out to owner/operator Laura to see if I could get a bit of info and a few photos to share with you.
Laura wanted you all to know the following:
Yay!
