Gift ideas from vegan boutique

My buddies Angela and James are the founders and owners of glorious vegan shoe shop and ethical boutique, The Third Estate.

They started the store many years ago in Leeds but for almost a decade they have been serving customers on Brecknock Road, North London.

The store is overflowing with ethical footwear, clothing, accessories, bags, wallets, belts, and gifts.

I recently popped into the store to pick out my top 5 Christmas gift recommendations currently being sold in The Third Estate.

Click on the Instagram post below to watch the short video I made.

What do you think?

In addition to my choices, the store has so many products for people searching for high quality, compassionate gifts.

You can see the exact location of The Third Estate thanks to Google Maps.

Vegan biodegradable sneakers?

Will’s Vegan Store is keeping the ethical goods flowing!

Say hello to the LDN Biodegradable Sneakers.

Over a year in the making, LDN Sneakers were created by Will’s working with leading shoe component manufacturers across Europe to create what they believe to be one of the most sustainable shoes on the planet.

Biodegradable? How does that work?

Here is the technical stuff.

Tencel™ knit weave uppers, linings, laces, lace tips, padding, tape and stitching are derived from sustainably grown wood sources (FSC®), harvested from certified and controlled sources. The Apinat Bio® outsoles are completely biodegradable under composting conditions, as well as compressed cardboard toe puffs, counter, and insole board (FSC®). The sneakers also feature wood fibre and natural latex insoles.

That’s a whole lot of fancy words to say they can be composted!

Available in white, grey, and black knit.

Shop for the LDN Biodegradable Sneaker online here and follow Will’s Vegan Store on Instagram.

Perfect vegan boots for winter

Say hello to my new winter boots.

And yes, they are vegan!

My new boots were a present from Will’s Vegan Shoes. This eco-friendly and socially-minded footwear and fashion company is selling some of the best footwear I have worn.

And I’m not just saying that because I got these for free.

The boots feel supportive, strong, and flexible. I could walk for miles. Now that I live in Sheffield, I really need to get out on some country walks and these are going to be perfect.

Will’s is a fantastic place to shop online for vegan footwear. Not only are the styles comfortable, but Will’s has also morphed into one of the most sustainable and ethical fashion brands on the planet.

Workers making the footwear are looked after because they are employed under European Union employment, discrimination, and health & safety law.

The online store operates a plastic free, carbon neutral supply chain using sustainable materials. And there is a free returns and exchange policy for 365 days.

Follow Will’s Vegan Store on Instagram and head on over to the online shop to see their massive range of footwear and accessories.

Order the FGV boot

As you probably already know, I have a vegan boot.

Yes, a Fat Gay Vegan boot is in the world and it is fabulous.

I tried a pair on today and I’m totally in love. Check it out.

The boots are made in collaboration with brand new ethical apparel company Workers Playtime and we have a very limited run that can be ordered right now.

The size run starts at European 36 (UK 3) and goes up to European 46 (UK 12). The upper is patent microfibre, the sole stitching feature is pink, the lining is a pink fleece, and you even get a pair of pink laces.

This really is the boot of my dreams. Use your festive gift receiving excuses to get yourself a pair!

Order online now and your new pair of FGV boots will be sent directly to you straight away.

You can see close up shots of the boot and order your pair online here.

Try the FGV boot

I have to be honest and say this wasn’t a childhood dream in the same way releasing a book was, but how darn cool is it that I have just released a Fat Gay Vegan boot?!

I’ve teamed up with an ethical boot manufacturer to create the FGV Vaquita.

The gorgeous boot is made in Portugal and its features include:

  • 100% vegan (of course)
  • durable and water-resistant black patent microfibre upper
  • 1 pair of thin waxed pink laces
  • 1 pair of thick waxed black laces
  • Pink faux-fleece lining

If you want to try this boot on before they are released to the public on a wider scale, I am hosting an exclusive VegfestUK London viewing of the boot THIS WEEKEND (Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October, 2017).

We will have the boot in sizes EUR36/UK3 all the way up to EUR46/UK12.

If you love the boot and want to order a pair after trying, we will give you a 10% off voucher so you can order your very own pair online.

The boot will not be available in stores for a little while so this is your chance to try the boot on for size, be certain you like the fit, and order now for savings.

If you celebrate birthdays or Christmas, this is the perfect way to ensure you get a gift that is comfortable and fabulous. Bring the present buyer along with you!

I hope you love this boot as much as I do.

The Fat Gay Vegan stall at VegfestUK London is number U45 on level 3. I am also selling early release copies of my first ever book.

New vegan shoe company in London

Hey all.

As you might know, I’m busy enjoying a vegan cruise through the south of France but it occurred to me that we haven’t discussed the new vegan shoe business that recently popped up in London.

Their shoes look kinda snappy and cool.

The company is called Friendship Vegan Shoes and they have a showroom in London for you to visit (or you can order online).

I’m definitely going to make time to check out their range soon.

Get over to their website to find out more and be sure to follow them on Instagram.

Yay for vegan shoes!

Shop online

Momentous news.

The nicest people in London with the best vegan clothes shop on the planet have just launched the finest vegan shopping website on the Internet.

Cop a look at these two cheeky scamps.

james ange

James and Angela of The Third Estate have become dear friends of mine since I first met them way back in the day at their shop in Leeds. For many years they served the compassionate community of Leeds with their unique brand of music shop goodies and animal free attire.

When they moved the store to London several years ago, the blog post I wrote about the opening instantly became the most read article on my blog.

Fast forward to now and the terrible twosome have launched their fabulous website, meaning shoe-hungry shoppers all over the country, the continent and the planet will be able to buy some of the best cruelty-free brands from the comfort of their own bean bags.

No need to hop a plane or train to get to Camden (although, you still can if you wanna see their cute faces). You can now buy shoes, boots, belts, wallets, dresses, jeans, skirts, t-shirts and more all in one place online and feel as smug as a bug in a faux sheepskin rug.

The Third Estate website will ship your purchases anywhere in the world, so get over there now and start shopping.

Sunday shoe shopping

Until last week, I had never stepped foot inside the Vegetarian Shoes store located in Brighton. The only time I would venture to Brighton was a Sunday. I don’t know why, but my daytime trips have always been on Sundays and the store was always closed on that day of the week.

Not anymore.
