New vegan business

My friend Jess wrote to me a few days back to let me know about a new vegan business that has popped up in central London.

I won’t get a chance to get along to their opening but thought it would be an idea to spread the word in case you can make it. It sounds lovely.

So, what is the scoop?

LabOrganic Opening Party this Sunday!

This all day event will take place at the brand new store in central London (58 Neal street, London WC2H 9PA) from 10am – 6pm on Sunday 19th January 2014.

Visit on the day to try a large selection of unique and delicious cold-pressed organic juices, superfood blends, mylks, health boosters, salads, raw snacks & much more.

You will meet many like-minded healthy Londoners and hear from the LabOrganic founders about the upcoming news & events at 4pm.

Above is the official word from the company. I reached out to them via Twitter and they confirmed that everything they sell is vegan and gluten-free. I am intrigued.

Report back here if you make it down to the opening.

Best kept vegan secret in London

I’m going to tell you about a vegan location in London that you probably have never heard of and if you have, you probably have forgotten. I forgot. I used to visit this location back in 2001, but it had since slipped my mind. This little gem of immense community and plant-eating importance should be a weekly destination for every compassionate shopper in the capital.

Vegans and vegan-curious, I give you FareShares.

I had to think for a while prior to writing this entry. How should I tackle the subject matter at hand? The product I am reviewing is not so unusual in itself but the name is extremely unique and conjures up certain… ahem, imagery. But I certainly didn’t want to be juvenile or crass.

I decided to take the mature and classy route as I talk to you today about the Bowel Benefit Bar. Let’s not make a scene.

The Palm House at Kew Gardens

London offers visitors and residents a wide array of stunning locations, sights and attractions. If you are looking for an informative, entertaining or fun-packed day out in the capital, the city always has something to please.

I love a good day out at a historical London location and even more so when vegan snacks and drinks are available. I was satisfied on all levels during a recent trip to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

When I’m with you, I feel Nakd and sacred

I’m not opposed to eating healthy food, I just need it to be delicious as well as good for me.

Nakd gluten free and vegan bars

I love snacks. Bite-sized morsels and finger foods are always within my chubby reach. But sometimes a FGV has to show some self-control and opt for a healthy selection when shopping for in-between meals. It was this sentiment that inspired me to pick up a couple of Nakd bars. This healthy range of snacks are available in 7 flavours and are vegan, gluten free and almost all completely raw. You can choose between Cashew Cookie, Berry Delight, Cocoa Delight, Cocoa Mint, Cocoa Orange, Ginger Bread and Pecan Pie. Sound fantastic, yeah? Well, I don’t mean to be a sour cherry, but the two flavours I was tempted to purchase weren’t my style of eating at all.
