Vegan fish fingers

Love them or hate them, you can’t escape the fact that Quorn is steadily marching forward with expanding its vegan range and this newest addition is causing a lot of stir.

Say hello to Vegan Fishless Fingers.

Fish fingers are close to being a national food in the UK, so I’m certain there will be hundreds of thousands of people happy to see this product readily available all over the country.

I’ve heard of them currently being available via Tesco and Waitrose.

As an aside, I’d be interested to know if this vegan expansion also means a reduction in Quorn‘s vegetarian options. I think the only way I can really celebrate this ‘better late than never’ vegan onslaught from the food giant is knowing that it translates into the non-vegan stuff being phased out.

Are you excited about this new product?

ANOTHER new vegan product from Quorn

Following on from the disastrous incident involving non-vegan pieces added to vegan soups, Quorn continue their campaign to win over vegans by releasing another plant-based product to their range.

As seen in a screengrab from the official Quorn website, the new product from the meat-free company is a bag of vegan nuggets.

I’m not sure where you can currently find these nuggets, but seeing as Quorn is pretty much in every supermarket in the UK you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating them.

You can read more about the vegan nuggets here.

More vegan Quorn products

It seems the major vegetarian food brands are in a race to bring out more and more vegan products. The tide is turning at a rapid rate for plant-based supermarket products and I can hardly keep up.

A few days ago I reported on new vegan soups by Quorn while only yesterday I posted about new products suitable for vegans by Linda McCartney Foods.

Now Quorn are back at it again with these new breaded fillets, popping up in mainstream supermarkets everywhere this week.

Quorn launch vegan soups

Oh!

I’ve never eaten vegan Quorn but seeing as news of their brand almost broke my blog last time, I figured you would all want to know about this development.

The Quorn Facebook page states these are available in Sainsbury’s right now.

Both of these soups feature the vegan Quorn pieces. This is a perfect example of how huge corporations are responding to vegan demands. If it makes money for them, they will do it.

Quorn is NOT turning everything vegan

Much excitement was generated a few days ago when it was reported that Quorn was set to switch its entire product range from vegetarian to vegan.

Well, it appears our excitement was severely premature.

Quorn have released the following statement in regards to our plant-based hysteria:

quorn vegan

That’s a bit of a let down.

You can still sign the petition asking Quorn to turn their products vegan.

Is Quorn going 100% vegan?

The story I posted months ago about Quorn launching a few vegan products became one of the most-read posts in the history of my blog within hours of going live.

So I know you are all going to LOVE this update.

A fabulous person named Tracey Dixon has started a petition to demand that Quorn transforms all of its products into plant-based foods and she has added an update from the company that is sure to cause a lot of excitement.

Check it out below:

If the above is true, it means Quorn is in the process to switching all of their products to 100% plant-derived ingredients!
