Vegan Tuck Box have surpassed themselves.
This fabulous subscription service has, for a while now, been the go to supplier of hard to find sweets and chocolates. The monthly box delivery is always rammed solid with tasty snacks and delicious surprises. (I first wrote about the Vegan Tuck Box here)

I absolutely adore when people create new spaces for building social capital and find new ways for compassionate humans to connect and support each other.

EthicalStores.com is launching on the 20th March.
EthicalStores is a non-profit cruelty-free alternative to Etsy. We are a team of volunteers from across Europe, hoping to bring all ethical business to one marketplace. Any business or individual selling products that don’t contain animals and/or are not tested on animals, can create a free store in minutes.

Vedge.
There is nothing else.
Of all the vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants I’ve eaten with during my time on this planet, nothing comes close to capturing the delight of food quite like Vedge of Philadelphia.
If you are interested in plant-based dining at its finest, you need to make sure Vedge is on your bucket list, in your 3-year plan or somehow scheduled into your not-too-distant future.
Owners Kate Jacoby and Rich Landau have created a food paradise where subtle flavours and unique ingredients join forces to create a melt-in-your-mouth tour de force. If that sounds like hyperbole, you are clearly one of the unfortunate few yet to step foot inside the award-winning Locust Street eatery. Those who have dined with Vedge might very well think I am not employing sufficient superlatives in my description.
I have dined with Vedge on three occasions over the years and I am constantly scheming and plotting my return. If anyone asks you if you know FGV’s favourite restaurant in the world, tell them Vedge.

The last few days of any vacation in the USA is a fraught time, but it has nothing to do with trying to squeeze in last minute sightseeing.
The drama revolves around shopping for perishables and freezing them for the flight back to the UK. Does anyone else do this? I can’t be alone.
Arriving home with a case full of frozen food is a fabulous way to extend the joy of your holiday. Even when you are back in the grey UK, your vacation lives on through a freezer full of vegan groceries.

An article by Rosamund Urwin for the Evening Standard titled ‘Green is the new black: how veganism became sexy in London‘ is problematic for many reasons (for starters, stop reducing compassionate people and decisions to sexiness), but one glaring omission stands out above the rest of the article’s faults.
I feel Urwin has invisibilised the real, everyday people who have helped drag veganism into the London mainstream.
Urwin attempts to unpack the reasons behind the explosion of plant-based food options in London and comes up with what I view as the typical and shallow reasoning of ‘it’s now sexy’ and ‘ because Beyonce’. She has omitted to name some of the groundbreaking people and events that have massively contributed to the widespread acceptance of veganism in London and the UK.
These people are not pushing plant food choices as a sexualised commodity (most of the time!). They are instead working themselves to the bone to put compassion front and centre. These people are a huge part of the reason why vegansim is a force to be reckoned with in the UK.
I present to you my list of people and organisations I feel were erroneously left out of the Evening Standard article.

If you answered ‘no’, I suggest you get very familiar with the town’s location before Saturday rolls around as it is set to be the scene of a vegan burger launch of epic proportions.
What can I say about this impressive-looking vegan burger that isn’t already on the flyer? Not much, except I want to eat one of these More Than Meat constructions right now.
