Amazing vegan pork in UK

We are really swamped with vegan meat alternatives, aren’t we?

I know it sounds as though I am complaining which is weird because I was vegan two decades ago when there was nothing, but it’s 2021 and the shops are overflowing with vegan meat.

I suppose my complaint is that there are a lot of sub-standard products in shop fridges and freezers, rushed out by brands to meet the demand for plant-based protein.

There is, however, one brand making waves in the UK that stands head and shoulders above the crowd.

Say hello to OmniPork.

OmniPork is a pork alternative that has completely changed the game. The taste and flavour is beyond anything I’ve tried before and it is so versatile.

We had this grogeous ramen-style dish a few months back at my place using OmniPork.

OmniPork has been a little bit tough to get hold of in the UK, but it just got a lot easier for a lot of people.

You all know about Pudology so I’m not even going to waste my time reminding you of the decadent, creamy dessert pots this company makes.

They are one of the finest plant-based food lines in the entire UK.

Well, get ready to tweet this news to your nearest and dearest because Pudology are launching BIG tubs in Ocado.

As you can see above, the larger tubs are available in the Deeply Decadent Chocolate and the Smooth Chocolate Orange varieties.

But how much bigger are they?

You will be used to the original tubs coming as 85g twin packs, but these new tubs are a jumbo-sized 350g!

Vegan pizza base

A reader (who has an Instagram account packed with cute people and cats) got in touch with me yesterday to ask if I had tasted this vegan-friendly pizza base.

I replied that I had not.

I was assured this base is probably the best pizza base you can buy in the UK.

Trouble is, not everyone is going to be able to locate it. This Crosta &Mollica ready to top pizza base with tomato sauce is available (as far as I can tell) only in Waitrose stores or via Ocado online.

Have you tried these bases? What do you think? Have you seen it in any other shops?
