New oat milk on the block

With the non-stop tidal wave of plant-based milks crashing onto the vegan scene, it can a tough job trying to stay updated on the best options.

I know we all have different tastes and preferences, but I am happy to tell you this recent release by Co-Operative supermarkets is my new favourite.

I have become a big fan of oat milk but often find my favourite brands are a bit pricey for my budget.

Thankfully, the Co-Operative GRO label now has an affordable option priced at just 79p and in even better news… it tastes just us good as the pricier brands IMHO.

I am unsure if 79p is an introductory offer, but I am certainly stocking up just in case. Let’s hope it stays low!

Huge thanks to Co-Operative stores for making the experience of being an ethical consumer that little bit more afforadable.

Sucker

I am a sucker for pro-vegan product labelling and it doesn’t come grander than this carton of Oatly milk.

I didn’t need milk. I bought it anyway. How could I not buy it?

This is one of the most fabulous things I have ever seen printed on the side of a product. There is so much minimising of veganism by food producers for fear of scaring away possible customers, but not by Oatly!

News flash, people. It is 2015 and the general public know, understand and are even beginning to like what the word ‘vegan’ means.

Vegan pride.

Sweet as a bird

Flavoured syrup is a dietary staple, right? A fabulous range of products known as Sweetbird has got me thinking that very thought.

A box of vegan goodies from Beyond the Bean wholesalers

A little while ago I was contacted by a friendly human asking if I would be interested in sampling some of their vegan syrups. I hammered out a positive response as quickly as my fat, gay fingers could type. It surely would go against the natural order of the universe for me to decline. It is always lovely to be offered a gift, but I’m a whole lot happier when the gift turns out to be ample amounts of sweet liquids and powdery chocolate.
