Indian to your door

I am sitting in Mexico City as I type this blog post and I’m thinking maybe I left London a few days too early.

Check out this glorious vegan Indian food you can get delivered to your London home or office starting this week.

Vegan pizza revolution

London. It just got amazing for vegan pizza lovers.

Check it out.

Firezza is a London-wide chain of pizza shops specialising in handmade, chewy bases with fresh toppings and, from this week, vegan cheese as an optional topping.

PeTA reached out to me earlier in the week to let me know the owners of Firezza had made the decision to include VioLife as an optional extra across all 17 locations. This is surely the biggest chain of pizza restaurants in the UK to be offering a vegan cheese pizza.

Very fortunately for me, one of the 17 Firezza locations is situated just a few minutes walk from my house. This was my experience today.

Chocolate on the buffet

Just when you thought my vegan Day of the Dead party this weekend couldn’t get any tastier, Cocoafeliz have joined the buffet table.

When I wrote about this vegan chocolate company a while back, it resulted in one of the most popular blog posts in the history of FGV. You can see the original post here.

This company has been the smash hit vegan success of London over the past few months. They make some of the tastiest cruelty-free chocolates around and you can order them online for home delivery.

Perfection.24chocbox

The fab people behind these delicacies want to treat attendees of my 3rd annual vegan Day of the Dead party. How lovely!

They are sending over 70 individual, handcrafted chocolates for the giant buffet. Flavours will include coffee, strawberry, peanut butter, choc caramel, orange caramel, lavender and kiwi. I hope I am able to show restraint when the delivery arrives.

You can read all about my Mexican party here or order tickets online here.

Please visit the Cocoafeliz online shop to see the entire range available.

You can also follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook.

On demand

I used to think I knew what my favourite pastime was… and then I got an email from vegan sweet food producer Scoff asking if I would like to sample their creations. Now my favourite pastime is eating Scoff treats.

Based in Brixton, this new vegan sweet treats provider is changing the game for cruelty-free eating in the UK forever. Their truffles and fudge are decadent, delicious and irresistible. I haven’t often experienced melt in your mouth moments, but the Scoff vanilla fudge took me to that place instantly.

The company does sell at local markets (check the website for locations), but the real thrill is their mailing service. Why leave the comfort of your house when you can have dark chocolate and Amaretto truffles delivered straight to your door? No need to get wet and cold by exposing yourself to the elements. Scoff will post bags of creamy ginger fudge directly to you.

Almost as nice as the food is the care and attention given to making the food look lovely. The fudge bags feature the super cute Scoff logo while the smart truffle boxes are held closed by ribbons. Obviously perfect for gift giving.

Did you hear I like getting gifts? 😉

Bottled it

The fab people of Vintage Roots sent me a bottle of vegan wine to review. Here is my review: Kip and I guzzled it. It was nice. Order vegan wine from Vintage Roots.

As you can see, I have little expertise with wine parlance so I’ve asked the infinitely more qualified Kip of Messy Vegetarian Cook to share her reflections. You can like Kip on Facebook and follow her on Twitter.

What’s the 411, Kip?

Box it up

Vegans have got a good life in London. We can dine in fancy restaurants like SafHow about cake delivered straight to your house? Sure thing. Vegan gourmet hot dogs are another treat and don’t even get me started about Cookies & Scream in Camden.

Yes, life is grand. But there is always room for improvement and expansion. Enter food delivery service The Urban Kitchen.

Before I dive into telling you how delicious the meal was I was sent to review, I would like to state up front that this caterer is not a vegan company. That being said, all of their vegan dishes are clearly marked online and they are very approachable people. If you are wondering about any ingredient or element of a dish, get in touch with them.

Now, down to business.
