Exclusive at Vegan Christmas Market

My first ever Vegan Christmas Market is coming up close at a rapid speed and I’m beyond thrilled with the fabulous vendor line up I have gathered together.

If you missed the initial announcement of food traders, you can get updated by clicking here.

But this blog post belongs to only one piece of news.

In a London exclusive, award winning vegan meat company Sgaia will be trading at the Vegan Christmas Market in London on Saturday December 17, 2016.

Sgaia is nothing short of a phenomenon. This company burst onto the UK vegan scene only a short while ago and has quickly developed into one of the finest brands on the planet.

But what will they be selling at the Xmas event?

You will be able to get your hands on their brand new festive fillet. This gorgeous looking slice of vegan meat is perfect for rolling and filling with your favourite filling as a roast dinner centrepiece.

Check it out!

In addition to this AMAZING festive fillet, Sgaia will also be selling ready to consume sandwiches stuffed solid with all sorts of tempting seasonal fillings.

sandwich_smlI predict a stampede for this food. Sgaia will also be selling other packs of their incredible slices and burgers, so bring a few shopping bags.

Get over to the Facebook event for Vegan Christmas Market, invite your friends, dress warm and get there early on the day so you don’t miss out.

You also need to follow Sgaia on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Order your own home delivery of their food via their website if you can’t join us on the day.

Vegan brownies

I just found out about these vegan brownies called 100% Natural and they look so delicious, I just had to share.

What better way to get you up to speed than to ask the company to personally fill us in? This is what they said:

A mother and daughter duo, Jess and Charlotte began making raw brownies at their kitchen table at home in Brighton. Passionate about creating products that taste good and do good, their delicious brownies are made only from the finest, ethically sourced, organic and vegan ingredients. All of our products are free from wheat, gluten and dairy but they are first and foremost delicious and have been awarded multiple stars in the Guild of Fine food Great Taste awards.

100% Natural is now stocked in the likes of Whole Foods Market, Planet Organic and London’s prestigious Sourced Market as well as independent delis and health stores around the UK. More recently you can find them at Curzon Soho which we see as a huge achievement. Now you can watch great films with great snacks!

100% Natural told me the raw brownies can even be fried up in some coconut oil before being topped with coconut ice cream.

I’m sold!

Check out these fab photos of the vegan brownies.

Festive vegan cake alert

I’m not sure there is anyone else doing this kind of next-level festive cake glory in the UK.

Before I show you the photos from Hannah Banana Bakery, I am going to give you a heads up. If you want to order any festive treats for delivery from this award-winning bakery for home delivery, you will need to be fast. They are going to be swamped with orders and you don’t want to miss out.

Now, are you ready for these visuals? I don’t think you are but here we go anyway.

What can I say that these photos don’t already convey?

The marshmallows and iced jewels (which killed me with beauty BTW) can be delivered to your home/office IF you order quickly. Delivery of these orders get set out on December 19 to ensure they make it before the holidays.

Click here to see all the different flavours of marshmallows (I’m flipping out) and to place your order.

Those big cakes are a bit more complicated to get hold of as apparently they don’t fit through a mail slot. Who woulda thought? You can order the cakes for collection if you are in the Southampton area.

Follow Hannah Banana on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to ask if you have any questions. I know they get super swamped at this time of year but their life mission is to get delicious vegan treats to as many people as possible.

Vegan store in Coventry

This is a top development.

I’m absolutely grinning from the news of a brand new vegan grocery store having opened in Coventry.

The Green Unicorn is situated in the super-cute shopping district called FarGo Village, located just east of the the city centre (like, strolling distance).

I asked Nikki at The Green Unicorn to give us a small insight into what her store is all about and this is what she had to say:

I’m very passionate about veganism and can’t wait to help start spreading the vegan message. I’m planning to provide support to new vegans for Veganuary and help influence the other retailers in FarGo Village to embrace their vegan customers. Fargo Village is a creative retail village in the city centre and attracts  a customer base from all walks with regular events such as food festivals and film screenings. I’m keen to work with our onsite vegan brewery, The Twisted Barrel, for more vegan events.

How rad is that?!

A vegan store and a vegan brewery/bar in the same location coupled with a big desire to support new vegans. I love this sort of shit.

You want some photos of this greatness now?

Vegan pizza base

A reader (who has an Instagram account packed with cute people and cats) got in touch with me yesterday to ask if I had tasted this vegan-friendly pizza base.

I replied that I had not.

I was assured this base is probably the best pizza base you can buy in the UK.

Trouble is, not everyone is going to be able to locate it. This Crosta &Mollica ready to top pizza base with tomato sauce is available (as far as I can tell) only in Waitrose stores or via Ocado online.

Have you tried these bases? What do you think? Have you seen it in any other shops?

Vegan bubble tea in Stratford

Here is a super quick post to tell you about a bubble tea shop based in Stratford that is serving up lots of cups of vegan bubble tea.

Bubbles & Tea London is situated in the older Stratford shopping centre, just across the road from the mammoth Westfield centre in east London.

I’ve picked one of their latest tweets to give you a sneak preview of what they serve up and to be honest, it all looks so tasty I had a difficult time choosing just one shot.

Do you love bubble tea? Follow Bubbles & Tea London on Twitter and visit them soon!

Extra note: the Twitter account looks very quiet but I have been assured they are still doing a roaring trade over there. Maybe a few new follows will convince them to get back on the Twitter express.

Good looking food in Cardiff

I haven’t been to Cardiff for a really long time. Maybe years.

This is why I have not been able to share any photos from the 100% vegan café known as Anna-Loka, even though I keep hearing amazing stories about their menu.

13600362_608861775940829_7506095348935342712_n

Due to my inability to visit the Welsh city, the kind people of Anna-Loka sent me some photos of what they are serving up.

Are you interested in seeing some of the food? Of course you are!

Looking good at Anna-Loka, right?

You can get more details about the café on their Facebook page and follow them on Instagram.

Vegan weekend plans

Hey all.

There are two vegan happenings around the UK this weekend (November 19, 2016) that I want you to know about and it just so happens they are both first-time occurrences!

Have a fab time if you are heading out to either of these.

(Click on the images in order to visit the Facebook event pages)

Take your pick from the first ever Surrey Vegan Fair:

M&S has vegan Xmas drinks

I don’t personally celebrate Christmas, but I do drink trashy cocktails.

With that in mind, check out this camp range of ready to guzzle drinks being sold by Marks and Spencer.

Top photo shows the Gold Crème Brulee Liqueur, described on the bottle as containing edible gold glitter.

Next up you can see No Big Dill made from gin, dill, elderflower and lemon juice. Pour over ice, apparently!

Finally you can take a look at the Christmas Cobbler Cocktail. Made from sherry, rum and apple brandy, this is surprisingly the one with the lowest alcohol content of the three.

I’m not sure if these are all seasonal, but if you like the look of them you should probably get along to your nearest M&S pretty quickly. I’ve heard rumours of a banana liqueur in this range but my local store didn’t have it.

Enjoy!

Vegan Christmas Market announcement
