My visit here in Brisbane, Australia is coming to an end and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the amount of vegan groceries available in the larger supermarkets.
Following on from my post about vegan finds in the shops a few days ago, here is another bunch of plant-based supermarket items I’ve seen during these past few days.
See them all below.

Lord of the Fries is a vegan fast food chain with locations around Australia. The brand also has a range of vegan mac and cheese to make at home and I grabbed a box that I plan on bringing back to London!

When I was a child in Australia, one of my favourite frozen treats was Golden Gaytime. Such a legendary snack food with an iconic name. Imagine my surprise this week when I saw a vegan version in the supermarket!

Naturally Good is a pricey snack brand making vegan versions of classic sweets. This bag of chocolate discs covered in sprinkles was delicious.

These Bibigo dumplings aren’t new to me as I’ve seen them in UK stores, but I’ve included them because I was excited to see them.

Cottage pie is another classic throwback to my Australian youth, so it was exciting to see this vegan version in the supermarket freezer.

This Well & Good choc fudge brownie mix looked like a lot of fun. All vegan ingredients however the instructions on the pack called for two eggs. I read online that it also works perfectly well with egg replacer.

99th Monkey has this tasty plant-based smoothie. It had a rich chocolate flavour and it is the closest thing I can get to my beloved Huel while I’m over here.

My last shopping haul post showed the two slice pack of this cheeesecake but this week I saw the full size version.

Fruit mince pies are a huge deal here in Australia, just as they are in the UK. It is nice to see this box which is both gluten free and vegan in a mainstream supermarket.

I was impressed by this solid slab of dark chocolate brownie. Australia isn’t quite at the level of the UK when it comes to supermarkets baked goods but it is certainly closing in quickly.

Seeing these plant-based brioche buns reminded me instantly of the Make No Bones buns we used to get in Waitrose. Remember them?
Australia has definitely come a long way and this is only a fraction of what I saw on my shopping excursions.

The vegan Golden Gaytimes are the best ice-cream/lolly I have ever eaten. I dream of these being in the UK.
