Brass Castle Brewery is coming back to wow the crowds of London Vegan Beer Fest once again with an impressive line up of vegan brews that will make your mouth water.
This Yorkshire brewery always comes out on top when we ask people to vote for their favourite overall vendor at the event and I’m sure the following drinking list is going to win them a lot of new fans next weekend:

The friendly people from And Union invited me along to a night they were hosting in a West London pub. It was an informal mix of journalists and business acquaintances, but the real focus was the beer and there certainly was a lot of the good stuff to get through.
One of my favourite breweries in the UK has enjoyed a name and logo change.
Hastings Brewery is now Hastings Beer Co, but no matter what the name these people make awesome vegan beer and you should drink some.

As you know due to my relentless excitement, London Vegan Beer Fest is less than three weeks away.
This year, the massive vegan beer, cider, wine, food and music event has moved to King’s Cross and I am thrilled to have some very special partners helping me make this possible.
Vegan store Vx will be running a merchandise stall inside the venue where you will be able to purchase LVBF t-shirts and posters, as well as a whole range of items from their own Secret Society of Vegans collection.
Fry’s Family Foods have teamed up with Sara Mittersteiner of Pomodoro E Basilico for a gourmet food stand like no other.

You know, Berlin really is the city that keeps on giving, if you’re vegan. Hardly a week goes by without some new addition to the city’s vegan menu.
But one thing that Berlin has lacked is an equivalent to the London Vegan Drinks event… until now! (Well, until Friday 17th of July, anyway.)
It has taken me a while to get around to posting these photos, partly because I didn’t want to be reminded of the fact that this stunning food is served daily on the opposite side of the world.
If you have room for a new goal on your bucket list, scribble ‘Gracias Madre Los Angeles’ on a scrap of paper and throw it onto the pile of things you must experience before you kick it.
Gracias Madre is a 99.9% vegan restaurant (honey in some cocktails… don’t get me started!) located in West Hollywood with an original location still operating in the San Francisco area. We visited the WeHo outlet during a recent trip to Southern California so we could satisfy our cravings for vegan Mexican food.

One of the great things about Berlin is that there seems to be so many new vegan places to visit, it’s difficult to keep up!
A visit by my sister last weekend was the perfect opportunity to try somewhere we hadn’t been before, so we took a break from sightseeing and let the U-Bahn take us away from the tourist hordes, down to Neukölln, where there’s a new vegan tapas bar called Alaska. (I neglected to ask about the bizarre name, perhaps that particular US state is noted for its Spanish cuisine?)
It’s a really lovely place, a real oasis on a rather run-down street. Nicely decorated and comfortable, with a pleasant atmosphere, prompt service and very friendly multilingual staff.
