We’ve suffered through the wilderness for months in London and the dark days of LD’s Kitchen being on hiatus had us feeling lost and adrift.
But our bravery and perseverance have paid off because LD and her culinary creations are back in a big way in their new residency kitchen on Chalk Farm Road.
And that includes the completely over the top vegan Sunday roasts!

LD invited me along this past weekend and I was bowled over by the new and improved versions of what were already pretty fucking spectacular meals in the old location down the street, which are now being served inside The Imperial Palace of Big Red on Chalk Farm Road.
The new Sunday roasts start off with a chocie of one of the following main proteins:
- roast mocken brest
- roast pork tofu belly and crackling
- smoked salted brisket
- southern corn fried mocken breast
All of these are served with garlic and rosemary roast potatoes, collard garlic greens, swede and basil puree, creamy mustard leeks and spinach, maple and fennel glazed carrots, a Yorkshire pudding, and gravy.
One of these giant Sunday roast plates will set you back £22.
In addition, you can buy a side of cauliflower cheese baked with vegan mozzarella!
The crowds are really flocking to LD’s inside The Imperial Palace of Big Red so you are advised to book a table in advance. Click here to book for Sundays.
You can also drop into the venue on Wednesday to Saturday evenings for the regular menu from LD including mouthwatering ribs and wings. Food so good you’ll be going back again and again. See the exact location thanks to Google Maps.
