Fancy Mushroom Menu in West London

Here is a bit of news that I’ve shared in the past, but it’s always something I like to let you know about.

Say hello to the return of The Gate’s Wild Mushroom Fest for 2026!

Read more below.

Wild Mushroom Fest

The Gate is a much-loved plant-based restaurant in West London, just a few short minutes from Hammersmith station.

This restaurant has been a staple of the vegetarian scene for multiple decades and eventually morphed into serving a completely plant-based menu. It’s a real part of the culinary history of the UK capital.

The Gate is well known for hosting seasonal menus that change throughout the year and one of these limited run food lineups is their Wild Mushroom Fest. This multi-course menu is available for a limited time each year and, you guessed it, champions mushrooms!

This year’s Wild Mushroom Fest includes the following:

  • Wild Mushroom Cappuccino
  • Chanterelle Tarte Fine
  • Mango & Smoked Pigeon of the Woods Salad (obviously mushroom, not a pigeon!)
  • Mushroom Sarladaise (in the photo!)
  • Chocolate Torte

These five courses will cost you £59 per person.

This special menu is being offered from October 15 until 18, 2026 only. Click here to book a table.

  1. Hey – it’s kind of hidden away on their website – but they aren’t completely plant-based as their brunch menu has animal products…

I would make an effort to get there if they were totally vegan (and maybe switched around their menu a bit – it’s been virtually the same for years) as this was always my favourite branch….
