10 Vegan Meat Products I Saw In The Supermarkert

Every now and then I find myself loitering in the chilled aisles of a supermarket, not because I need anything, but because I’m curious to see what new vegan goodies are lurking in the wild.

My most recent nosey adventure happened at the Sainsbury’s in Angel, North London, and I was impressed with what I found.

Meat alternatives are a huge part of how many people transition away from eating animals. They offer a way to keep the familiar comforts of bangers, burgers, and ham sandwiches, without the cruelty. For lots of people, having access to these alternatives makes the idea of going vegan or eating less meat a lot less daunting.

Whether it’s the chewy texture, the sizzling smell, or that sense of nostalgia, vegan meats have a way of bridging the gap between tradition and compassion.

I’ve tried many of these before and others are on my must-try list and will no doubt end up in my frying pan very soon.

Here are the 10 vegan meat products that caught my attention at Sainsbury’s Angel. Some I know and love, some I’m keen to invite into my life. Have a scroll and maybe plan a little supermarket trip of your own.
