Boxes of cereal

I don’t know why I don’t spend more time in the breakfast cereal aisle of my local supermarkets. Every time I saunter down there, I seem to find a new-to-me cereal.

Just like this.

I’m not sure how long these have been around, but I was pleasantly surprised to find two varieties of the Sainsbury’s own label Balance cereal this week.

I don’t know what exactly is balanced about it but it is a handy and inexpensive cereal to have on hand in the kitchen. The fruit content doesn’t exactly deliver a knockout punch when it comes to taste, so I have found myself adding extra ingredients to make this a bit more special.

What do you think? Have you tried Balance by Sainsbury’s?

  1. love that cereal! But had to stop buying it-because I was getting through a box a day/two days tops!!

  2. I usually grab the plain Balance (as it’s a bigger box / cheaper) & add bits to it. Sainsbury’s do several nice cereals, though it’s a shame their Malties (like Shreddies) are no longer vegan.
