Is this the only raw food truck in the UK?

Get raw vegan food. Every weekend. From a food truck!

That’s the fab news for London.

Not in London? Better news for you involves the truck hitting the road this summer!

Details below.

Amrutha is a gorgeous-looking raw vegan food truck that not only has a recurring Sunday pitch in the Nomadic Community Gardens near Brick Lane, it is also being readied to travel the UK for a number of festivals throughout the summer.

Before I show you the food photos, I need to point you in the direction of the Amrutha website, their Facebook page, their pics on Instagram and of course Twitter.

Follow the vegan food business on one or all of those platforms to check out the menu and discover news of upcoming events, festivals, private catering opportunities and food preparation classes.

Now the food.

Free vegan nachos

The always-popular Club Mexicana has come on board as part of International Vegan Junk Food Day 2015 celebrations.

This mobile vegan food vendor has been winning hearts and tastebuds over the past few years and they show no sign of slowing down. They are impressing people with tacos, nachos and burritos that are all 100% vegan.

One place where they are certainly going down a storm is the Street Feast event at Model Market in Lewisham. Their super cute stall is a hotspot for tasty comfort food lovers.

But what about the free nachos?

We did it!

A few days ago I put a call out to concerned vegans. A vegan food business took a knock (really) and I wanted to rally the troops and make a sizeable donation to help them back on their feet.

Guess what?

We reached the target set of £500 in just a few days. I have already transferred the funds over to Veg Instead, so hopefully the hungry vegans of Croydon will have their favourite street food back again soon.

Greg of Veg Instead wrote in response:

The response has been really touching and the money will be really helpful. Please say thanks to your followers on our behalf.

How lovely! Vegans helping vegan business. We did it.

New vegan burger

Have you heard of Tunbridge Wells? Do you know where it is?

If you answered ‘no’, I suggest you get very familiar with the town’s location before Saturday rolls around as it is set to be the scene of a vegan burger launch of epic proportions.

What can I say about this impressive-looking vegan burger that isn’t already on the flyer? Not much, except I want to eat one of these More Than Meat constructions right now.

Check it out.
