With all the doom and gloom and bad news surrounding vegan businesses shutting down, it is nice to be bringing you something a bit more upbeat for a change.
The Polka Dot Bakery is BACK at Old Spitalfields market and it is earlier than planned!
I noticed something today that left me feeling a little deflated.
Holy Carrot has opened a new location in Spitalfields Market, just a short walk from Liverpool Street station in central London. Some of you will remember that Holy Carrot first made waves with its Knightsbridge restaurant, a fully vegan dining destination that proudly showcased plant-based food in a refined and creative setting.
But the days of their menu being fully vegan appear to be over.
If you find yourself in London looking for the ultimate vegan comfort food, I highly recommend stopping by Dauns near Spitalfields for this incredible Swedish hot dog.
If you are in the UK you’ll probably know what a carvery is, right?
Carvery is a type of food service in a restaurant or pub where different types of meat and roast vegetables are lined up on a buffet.
Unity Diner has been impressing Londoners with a vegan carvery for a few months and now they are taking it a step further with a special festive carvery taking place across a few days in November and December 2025.
You’ve seen me rave about Okja in Spitalfields, just a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street and Spitalfields Market.
If you are new here, Okja is a vegan bakery and coffee shop chain with locations in South Africa. A little while back they opened their first-ever UK location on Toynbee Street and people can’t get enough.
The pastries are all hand-crafted inside the bakery and every single item is exquisite… and vegan!
I popped in yesterday to catch up on the latest. Below you can see the photos I grabbed showing some new items and some recently updated items. Sensational.
