Try vegan Baileys for free

Have you been curious about the vegan Baileys drink called Almande?

If you are interested in sampling the drink for no charge, get along to Hackney Downs Vegan Market this Saturday December 8, 2018.

Baileys will be on hand to impress market goers with their popular dairy-free drink.

Almande by Baileys is a liqueur made from sweet almond oil and almond essence (extracted from crushed almonds), cane sugar and purified water with a touch of real vanilla. It has a creamy feel, but is light in taste.

I enjoy mixing Almande with chocolate milk for a fun drink, while blending it with soya milk, ice, agave syrup, and peanut butter is a dream come true.

The sampling team will be serving tasters from 2pm until 4pm so get along early (the market opens at 11am) for lunch and then stick around for some free Baileys! It is also a great time to start some of your vegan Christmas shopping as we will have cheese, vegan fish, gifts, and more. Full market line up is here.

Extra note: Chanel of our resident bakery stall Vegan Delice is planning some special vegan Baileys themed treats on her stall this Saturday to coincide with the tasting session. Eat cake and be happy!

Vegan Baileys Christmas Hamper

I was sent a gift this week that I suspect quite a few readers will love.

I reported a while back about the new vegan Baileys and how it is now available through Whole Foods Market stores in the UK.

Well, now you can get your hands on a bottle even if you can’t get along to one of those stores.

Online retailer The Goodness Project is currently selling a Christmas hamper that contains the vegan Baileys as the centrepiece.

The box contains a bottle of the drink, truffles, biscotti and chocolate.

The web retailer is also selling single bottles of the drink and you can order your own supply by clicking here.

New vegan product by Baileys

It has been a very long time coming, but the new Almande vegan drink by Baileys has arrived in the UK and is well worth the wait.

I was invited along to a product tasting session a few nights ago and was blown away by this drink. I think it is going to make a lot of vegans very happy in the UK.

I got chatting with the Baileys team at the event and threw down a challenge.

I said that I was so confident of my photo of their drink getting 1,000 likes on Instagram that I would bet on it.

If the post did get 1,000 likes, Baileys would have to send their team to Hackney Downs Vegan Market this Saturday (September 30, 2017) with bottles of Almande for free taste sampling.

Well, guess what.

The post got more than 1,000 likes in just under an hour!

You can get a free tasting of the new vegan Baileys Almande this Saturday at Hackney Downs Vegan Market. Get full market details here and RSVP to the Facebook event here.

A bet is a bet.

Almande is currently available to buy in Whole Foods Market stores around the UK. New retailers to be added soon.

Extra note: The tasting is for those 18+ and you might be asked for ID. Always drink responsibly.

Vegan Baileys not yet vegan

Remember a few weeks ago when the vegan Internet broke because of vegan Baileys?

Everyone was over the moon about the dairy-free version of this popular beverage but it appears the waves of vegan jubilation were a tad premature.

A post over on VegNews highlights that the drink is not currently suitable for vegans due to inclusion of beeswax in the formulation.

The good news is the company has apparently arrived at an understanding of just how valuable veganism is for their bottom line and a reconfiguration of ingredients is underway to make sure the Almande product IS vegan before it launches.

You can read the full VegNews article here, including quotes from Baileys regarding the veganisation of the almond drink.

Besos de Oro

As of the end of April/beginning of May 2016, I no longer work with Besos de Oro

I am super happy to announce that I am helping Besos de Oro promote their gorgeous vegan Baileys alternative throughout the UK.

If you were one of the fortunate VegfestUK attendees who got their hands on this creamy spirit-based drink over the past year, you already know what all the fuss is about. It felt as if the majority of people stopping by my FGV stand at the shows were doing so to tell me about this amazing drink they had just sampled.

Besos de Oro is a creamy, subtly sweet brandy and horchata drink that can be consumed on its own as a digestif or poured over ice cream or brownies as a decadent treat. Personally, I would be making some sort of alcohol-fuelled milkshake topped with vegan cream.

When Peter from Besos de Oro reached out to me to see if I wanted to be part of the UK team, I jumped at the chance.

As of the end of April/beginning of May 2016, I no longer work with Besos de Oro

The first big piece of news I am spreading for Besos de Oro is their Valentine’s special offer.

Check it out.

facebook valentines

Besos de Oro have a fantastic offer for Valentine’s Day 2016.

Loved up shoppers will get a bag featuring 12 raspberry-filled chocolate hearts made by the glorious Essy & Bella (remember I wrote about them here?) plus a bottle of Besos de Oro for £19.99 plus £2.50 p&p.

That is a pretty special deal and I’d say that even if I wasn’t part of the sales team.

This Valentine’s offer is limited to only 300 orders and because I was a bit slow getting this blog post up, I think a big chunk of that quantity has already been snapped up. Order promptly and the delivery is guaranteed to reach you and/or your sweetheart in time for the big day.

If you want to order a bottle with a bag of chocolates for someone special (that can include yourself!), you need to get over to the Besos de Oro Facebook page and send them a private message telling them you want to order. Peter will put a bottle of the creamy drink and a bag of hearts aside for you before telling you how to pay.

Now, if someone could just buy one of these packs and ship to me in Mexico my heart would be eternally theirs.
