New vegan truffle shop

I suppose weirder things have happened, but this is up there!

A brand new shop selling handmade vegan chocolates and truffles has opened in the unlikely location of Brentford in West London. Brentford is not exactly known as an epicentre of vegan specialty chocolate. Well, until now.

Bianca Márton is the luxury dairy free shop front for a business that started out selling at farmers markets in the local area and Richmond. A handful of the creations contain honey but the huge majority of what is on offer is suitable for vegans.

I am yet to get along to taste for myself but I have heard rave reviews from three separate people and all the flavours listed on the website sound exquisite.

Scoff it all

One of the most-read posts on this site was all about fudge.

Remember when I wrote about the fabulous sweet treat company Scoff? Their fudge was a revelation in my life and the home delivery service is both a blessing and a curse.

The sweet masters have expanded their range for the cooler months to include the mouthwatering Toffee Apple fudge. This seasonal flavour will be making an appearance at my 3rd annual vegan Day of the Dead party tomorrow, alongside the new White Chocolate and Raspberry Fudge.

Scoff have very generously jumped on board and I am thrilled to be featuring them on our giant vegan buffet table tomorrow.

If you are quick, there might just be some tickets remaining.

I often enjoy strolling aimlessly around London. I pick a general direction and just set off. These random wanderings have helped me unearth some of the most wonderful vegan discoveries, as well as rediscover gems I had completely forgotten about.

It was during one of these unplanned strolls a few weeks ago when I came across the gorgeous and exquisite creations of The Chocolatier. I am fairly certain I had seen them at VegfestUK London last year but didn’t manage to get close to them due to the swarms of people converging on their stand.

This time I was able to find my way to the front of their table at an open air market just a block back from London’s South Bank.  While not being a completely vegan company, the majority of their handcrafted delights are vegan and oh so delicious.

I used to think I knew what my favourite pastime was… and then I got an email from vegan sweet food producer Scoff asking if I would like to sample their creations. Now my favourite pastime is eating Scoff treats.

Based in Brixton, this new vegan sweet treats provider is changing the game for cruelty-free eating in the UK forever. Their truffles and fudge are decadent, delicious and irresistible. I haven’t often experienced melt in your mouth moments, but the Scoff vanilla fudge took me to that place instantly.

The company does sell at local markets (check the website for locations), but the real thrill is their mailing service. Why leave the comfort of your house when you can have dark chocolate and Amaretto truffles delivered straight to your door? No need to get wet and cold by exposing yourself to the elements. Scoff will post bags of creamy ginger fudge directly to you.

Almost as nice as the food is the care and attention given to making the food look lovely. The fudge bags feature the super cute Scoff logo while the smart truffle boxes are held closed by ribbons. Obviously perfect for gift giving.

Did you hear I like getting gifts? 😉
