Episode 44 – New Podcast And Now On Apple Podcasts

Wow. It only took us 44 episodes to realise how to use the platform but now it is a reality.

Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) is officially available via Apple Podcasts. Talk about late developers!

In this episode, Josh and I chat about about my upcoming trip to Brisbane, exploring family dynamics, queer nostalgia, and the strange comfort of returning to old haunts. From there, we dive headfirst into Britain’s political quagmire, analysing Keir Starmer’s recent statements, the creeping rise of Reform UK, and whether the Green Party has a real chance to shake things up. Is strategic voting broken? Can progressive politics survive the populist wave?

We also turn our attention to the bees and expose society’s double standards when it comes to environmental activism and animal compassion. We also discuss Alicia Silverstone’s surprising new TV project and the power of pop culture in animal rights.

It’s Tuesday already so that means another episode of Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) podcast.

Josh and I spend some of this week’s episode remembering Brisbane, especially the relentlessly warm weather. I’ve been considering relocating to Australia and have been thinking about the realities of living there.

It’s not all perfect, that’s for sure!

We also discuss the absolute garbage state of transphobia in the UK right now and how crucial it is for us all to support trans, non-binary, and intersex people.

New Podcast: Episode 37

The latest episode of Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) podcast is out in the world right now!

It’s episode number 37 and this week Josh and I get busy chatting about religious and spiritual things, including how some people give thanks through acts or gestures if something goes their way in life.

I’m an atheist and Josh identifies as slightly spiritual, so we give our hot take on all these things.

We also chat about the intriguing story of Robia Scott, a one-time back up dancer for music legend Prince. Robia has a fascinating tale including having been in a Debbie Gibson video, dancing on tour for Pet Shop Boys, being one half of Diamond and Pearl for Prince, and now living as a faith-based weight management and life coach!

Vegan London Is Disappearing: Podcast Episode

Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) podcast is back with episode 31 and this outing is full of complaining.

Complaining about capitalism, greedy landlords, and the disappearing cultural landmarks of London at the hands of rent gouging.

Josh and I chat about how close it is to completely unsustainable for independent businesses to survive in the UK as we mourn the loss of several high profile vegan restaurants.

We also discuss the threat to other cultural landmarks such as The Prince Charles Cinema. How will this erosion of our celebration spaces end?!

New Podcast Episode – Number 30

It’s that time of the week again.

My ex-partner Josh and I got together again online to discuss a few pop culture moments and in this episode of Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) podcast, we both get a little bit worked up about Emilia Pérez.

We discuss out collective disbelief at the huge number of Academy Award nominations this film has garnered, as we both feel it is one of the worst movies we have ever seen.

Truly shocking.

There are a few other pop culture moments discussed in the episode such as legendary award show musical performances, as well as Josh’s ongoing fight against his chest infection! Is everyone in the UK seriously unwell, or just everyone I know?

Tell Me What You Really Really Want

Tuesdays around these parts is podcast day.

A new episode of the Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) podcast is released on YouTube and Spotify first thing Tuesday morning.

A quick recap if you are new here.

Josh and I are ex-partners of 20-something years wo are still very good friends. Each week we spend an hour talking about pop music, culture, politics, health, travel, and life as middle age gay men. Oh yeah… we record this conversation and post it online.

This podcast is extremely DIY and low effort. It is simply your chance to observe us sharing our memories and opinions with each other. Do not expect it to be polished and do not expect any research!

You can watch/listen to the latest episode on YouTube below. In this episode we chat about the dismal state of global politics, how dreadful singers end up in manufactured pop bands, and why so many pop starts end up supporting the Tories.
