Vegan ice cream hot spot in London

I am writing this on the morning of what is set to be the hottest day of the year in London. I debated writing about a few different topics but then decided it could be about nothing but ice cream.

Did you know there is a road in London where there are two shops selling vegan ice cream? Today would be a perfect day to head there.

First up is Juice Baby.

I have raved about this Kings Road eatery in the past, but the addition of gorgeous hand held ice creams makes Juice Baby a must visit destination. No debate.

Josh and I shared the Vanilla & Salted Caramel as well as the Double Choc Chip.

Check it out!

And what else is happening on this Chelsea thoroughfare?

Just short of three blocks along Kings Road is a pop up frozen banana ice cream shop called Nana Nice Cream.

This is where you get banana soft serve in a cup with gourmet toppings. You can also buy take out tubs of various flavours (which are also now being sold in Iceland supermarket stores!).

Look at this soft serve glory I experienced.

Get to Kings Road, Chelsea for some cool treats this Summer.

Nana Nice Cream bar is open until the end of August.

So tasty

I scuttled down to Chelsea today to ensure I got my hands on some of Sara’s vegan pizza. Her Pomodoro E Basilico business was serving up as part of the Startisans indoor food market.

Watch the video below to check out the line up of deliciousness!

Which one would you have gone for?

Of course I didn’t settle for just one slice, ending up with the Napoli and the Cisa.

Follow Sara on Instagram to find out where she will be serving next.

Pizza in Chelsea

You all know my pal Sara of Pomodoro E Basilico, right?

Sara has created a huge following thanks to her gorgeous supper clubs and handcrafted cuisine such as pizza, pasta, cream filled donuts and tiramisu.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of sampling Sara’s food, you will want to get yourself to Chelsea this Wednesday (April 22, 2015) for the Startisans Indoor Market in Duke of York Square (nearest Underground is Sloane Square). Sara will be hosting her first ever market stall and from the look of the photos she sent me, you won’t want to be anywhere else.

The market runs from 10am until 4pm and the Pomodoro E Basilico stall will feature pizza slices containing Sara’s homemade versions of chorizo, Mortadella ham, Stracchino cream cheese, mozzarella and ricotta. 100% vegan pizza by the slice!

Now for the photos. Don’t freak out.

Raw vegan in Chelsea

It could come as a surprise to many readers, but I very much enjoy quality raw vegan food. I’m not just talking about the fruit salad I force myself to eat every now and then but well-executed raw cuisine. I’m pleased to say I have found a provider of such food in London.
