I am always excited to discover a product that challenges the idea that we need to exploit animals to keep our companion animals healthy, and even more excited if I can swing a discount your way if you are keen on trying it for your furry friends.
Just Be Kind has an impressive vegan alternative to salmon oil for dogs, and it is the sort of innovation that deserves a lot more attention.

Omega 3 Daily For Dogs is made using microalgae, the original source of the omega 3 fatty acids that fish accumulate through their diet. Instead of taking these nutrients from fish, this supplement goes straight to the source, leaving fish in the oceans and rejecting the cruelty associated with fish farming. It delivers the benefits of EPA and DHA without the fish, the fishy dog breath, or the need to turn marine animals into ingredients.
Just one teaspoon provides 470mg of EPA and 330mg of DHA, with a total of 835mg of omega 3.
These essential fatty acids play important roles in dog health, and the product is designed to support joint, skin, digestive, and heart health. It is also formulated to appeal to fussy dogs, making it a simple addition to their regular food or a tasty treat on its own. A daily teaspoon could be a useful way to help support your dog’s nutritional needs, although the appropriate amount will depend on your dog’s size, diet and individual health.
The 150ml bottle costs £22.50, but I have partnered with Just Be Kind to offer readers a 25% discount across the brand’s full range of food, treats and supplements. That means you can explore more of their plant-based goodies while giving your dog something that puts animal-friendly innovation first.

And if you would like your dog to try some delicious plant-based food and treats in person, come along to All Treat, No Trick, my Halloween social for dogs and humans. I’ll even have some Omega 3 Daily for sampling!
The event takes place on Saturday 31 October, 2026 at Karamel in Wood Green. Just Be Kind will be supplying plant-based food and treats for dogs to sample, and registering your dog for a ticket in advance means you will receive some free gifts from the brand to take home.
Click here to register for a free ticket for the Halloween social. Humans don’t need a ticket but one ticket for each attending dog is appreciated so I know how many products to bring along.
There will also be free vegan sweets for the humans and vegan food/drink to buy from the venue.
I love seeing products that make it easier to care for our dogs without harming other animals in the process. Omega 3 Daily is a brilliant example of how we can rethink familiar products and find kinder alternatives. Your dog gets the tasty supplement, fish get to stay in the sea, and you can feel good about choosing a more compassionate option.
