Something strange appears to be happening over on the Forks Over Knives Facebook page.

Since the Forks Over Knives digital platform was shut down, the Facebook account with around 1.2 million followers has been posting some increasingly unexpected questions.
Recent posts have asked followers things such as what they would do if their husband slapped them out of anger and whether they have advice for Donald Trump. The comments underneath these posts are just as interesting, with followers openly asking what is happening to the account and expressing confusion about the direction of the content.
Meanwhile, the Forks Over Knives Instagram account appears to still be just the sort of plant-based food and lifestyle content people would normally expect from the brand but no recent posting.
For anyone unfamiliar with the history, Forks Over Knives began as a documentary. Founder Brian Wendel started working on the film in 2009 after becoming interested in the research surrounding plant-based nutrition. The documentary premiered in 2011 (written and directed by Lee Fulkerson) and became the starting point for a much larger brand, eventually expanding into books, a recipe app, cooking courses, meal planning, a website, and other products and services. Forks Over Knives describes the film as the spark that grew into a wider plant-based movement.
So what exactly is happening with the Facebook page?
Is this some kind of deliberate change in strategy, a social media management issue, hacking, a consequence of the digital platform shutting down, or something else entirely?
