Surge Sanctuary is inviting supporters to spend an afternoon getting crafty while raising money for rescued animals at its first ever winter event.

The special Wreath Making Workshop takes place on Saturday 5th December, 2026 at the sanctuary in Nottinghamshire, with the three-hour session taking place inside the sanctuary’s new barn from 12pm to 3pm.
Tickets cost £40 and include everything needed to make a festive wreath to take home, including foliage foraged at the sanctuary. There will also be hot drinks and mince pies, along with an opportunity to meet some of the sanctuary’s rescued residents and hear their stories.
Visitors will also be able to browse and buy Surge Sanctuary merchandise, including Christmas cards, calendars, hoodies, T-shirts, mugs, badges and artwork.
The event is for people aged 18 and over, and the organisers recommend dressing appropriately for a winter afternoon in the barn. Guests are encouraged to bring a cosy blanket or hot water bottle, while hand warmers will be provided. Most importantly, the £40 ticket helps Surge Sanctuary continue its work rescuing and caring for animals, making this a chance to spend a few hours getting creative while supporting a sanctuary at the same time.
