Whenever someone asks me where they can find delicious vegan pies in the UK, Magpye is always the first name out of my mouth.
I’ve been a fan of this independent business for years and it is wonderful to see them continuing to grow while producing some of the tastiest vegan comfort food around. Better still, they deliver nationwide, meaning these beauties can turn up on your doorstep wherever you happen to live.
Magpye started back in 2019 when founders Chris and Sarah decided to create the pies they wanted to eat but couldn’t find anywhere. They began serving hungry customers from a converted trailer on Newcastle Quayside before adapting during lockdown to become a thriving online pie business.
Now they have a tempting line-up of limited edition seasonal pies that deserve your attention.

If you love spicy pies, there are two newcomers. The Jalapeño Mac & Cheeze Pie features creamy cashew cheeze sauce, macaroni, and plenty of sliced jalapeños for a satisfying kick. If you want to take things up another level, the Jalapeño Mac, Cheeze & Bacun Pie adds smoky vegan bacun cubes to the mix.
Both pies feature an upgraded VBites Smoked Cheezly topping for extra melt and smokiness.
They join Magpye favourites including the original Mac & Cheeze Pie, the Mac, Cheeze & Bacun Pie and the new Smokehouse BBQ Chickn Pie. Every pie is handmade, completely vegan, and palm oil free.
I can honestly tell you these pies are ridiculously good. This is proper comfort food made with care by people who clearly understand exactly what pie lovers want.
It’s always a pleasure seeing independent vegan businesses not only survive but continue to innovate. Magpye is a brilliant example of why supporting small businesses matters.
