Some of you are going to be very happy to read this. I know I am.
Queer Vegan Disco is back!
Before the pandemic turned all of our lives upside down, Queer Vegan Disco was one of my favourite regular events. It was a chance for LGBTQ+ vegans, allies, and friends to come together for an evening of dancing, chatting, laughing, and celebrating in a welcoming space. It built a loyal following and people often asked me when it would return.
Well, the time has finally come.

I’m delighted to announce that Queer Vegan Disco is returning for a special one off event, bringing together Fat Gay Vegan, legendary vegan venue Karamel in Wood Green, and one of London’s finest DJs, Phil Marriott.
If you’ve spent any time on London’s queer nightlife scene over the past few decades, there’s a good chance you’ve danced to one of Phil’s sets. He has played everywhere from Royal Vauxhall Tavern and Ministry of Sound to Fire, Heaven and The O2 Academy, as well as taking his music to audiences across the UK and around the world. As if that wasn’t enough, Phil has also been vegan for more than a decade, making him the perfect person to soundtrack the return of Queer Vegan Disco.
Expect a night packed with camp pop, indie favourites, disco classics and all the tunes you forgot you loved until they fill the dancefloor.
Karamel is the ideal venue for this celebration. The completely vegan restaurant, bar and arts centre will be serving drinks and delicious vegan food throughout the evening, and we’ll even be handing out free vegan sweets while you dance the night away.
Doors open at 7pm and we’ll keep the party going until 1am.
Advance tickets are just £10, or £15 if you pay on the door.
I’ve missed this event more than I can say, and I honestly can’t think of a better way to bring it back than with Phil Marriott and the wonderful team at Karamel. Whether you came to Queer Vegan Disco back in the day or this will be your first time, I’d love to see you on the dancefloor.
Let’s make this one to remember.
