Another beloved independent vegan community space in London is just a week away from closing the door.
Say goodby to Pulse & Pickle… for now.

Pulse & Pickle has announced it will be closing its current location due to what appears to be an unsustainable rent increase. Rumour has it the rent has doubled which is the sort of thing that might work for giant chains or venture capital backed businesses, but not for a Community Interest Company built around care, inclusion, and creating safer spaces for marginalised people.
It is a grim reminder that some of the most valuable projects in our communities are often the most financially vulnerable.
Pulse & Pickle has become much more than simply somewhere to grab food or coffee. The team created a welcoming and celebratory environment for people who do not always feel prioritised elsewhere. Spaces like this matter deeply and losing them is always painful.
The good news is the story is not ending here.
The Pulse & Pickle crew will continue serving customers until the end of May 2026 before taking time to look for a new location and fresh opportunities to continue the project in another form.
If you have ever meant to visit, now is the time.
Go eat with them. Buy drinks. Bring friends. Show support while you still can.
And just as importantly, follow along with whatever comes next because I have a feeling this will not be the last we hear from this brilliant team. London desperately needs more spaces like Pulse & Pickle, not fewer.
