New vegan restaurant
This is the sort of scene-changing news that I just adore sharing.
There is a brand new vegan restaurant now open in the picturesque town of Nailsworth in the Cotswolds (roughly 3 hours west of London). Huge news!
If the name of the restaurant looks familiar to you, you are not imagining things.
Asparagasm is the brainchild of Kate Lewis and savvy plant-based diners will be well-acquainted with her inventive pop up dining events staged in London and surrounds over the past few years.
London Vegan Beer Fest attendees will also know of the award-winning beer Kate produced under the Asparagasm name in conjunction with Stroud Brewery.
Acclaimed dining experiences. A fabulous craft beer. What more can Kate offer the world?
A vegan deli and restaurant, it seems!
Read the statement released by the restaurant:
Compassionate dining is at our core. We source local produce wherever and whenever possible, and have established close relationships with our farmers and producers.
Through our use of organic ingredients, biodynamic produce, eco-friendly products and ethical business practices, we aim to build a cruelty free, earth friendly restaurant.
We will bring sustainable food to the heart of communities; support environmental and animal advocacy groups on a local and national level, and help our customers to eat peacefully.
And yes. There will be absolutely… No… Risotto.
Ha! No risotto has me laughing and giving thanks.
I am beside myself with anticipation as I scrutinise my diary to see when I can get to Nailsworth to experience Asparagasm.
Congratulations, Kate. Nobody works harder than you to create exciting and delicious opportunities for vegans and I’m delighted you have launched this restaurant. You are a legend.
