Sam in Leeds
As you know, my Vegan Roadshow is currently snaking its way around the country with Australian Band Love Like Hate.
A few nights back we stopped for a show in Leeds. It was a great crowd filled with friendly faces and lots of lovely beer, but surely one of the highlights was Sam with his homestyle cooking.
When I announced online that I was bringing the roadshow to Leeds, I also put a call out asking if anyone local would like to cater the night. Sam reached out instantly to let me know he had never sold his food but was keen on giving it a try. I’m sure glad he did!
My bowl of quinoa and kale stew served with freshly baked soda bread was superb and I heard equally-impressive reviews of his tempeh chile.
For research purposes, I also got involved with the lemon drizzle cake which was also of a high standard.
