New kicks
One of my favourite past times is trolling up and down supermarket aisles looking for vegan products. The first thing I love to do when arriving somewhere on vacation is find the nearest grocery store. It is my signature move.
I recently (as in two days ago) moved housed to another part of London so of course before I even unpacked, I made a direct route to the supermarket.
My new local Sainsbury’s is a big one, with plenty of vegan goods to keep me overfed. Much of it was the same old stuff I’ve seen everywhere else, but three products caught my attention.
They have all possibly been on the market for a while, but it was the first time my fat gay eyes had seen them.
Have you tried any of the treats below? Do you love supermarket tourism as much as I do?
Supermarket tourism is one of my favourite things to do. I’ll often break up my commute by stopping at a couple. I’ve just moved to Bristol and we have a BIG Asda down the road which is heaven.
I love supermarkets and like you, when I’m on holiday abroad I have great fun checking out the aisles of the local store Sure ,most of the food isn’t cruelty-free but when you discover something that is, wow, it’s almost intoxicating!
I absolutely LOVE supermarket tourism! I love a good sniff around to see what sort of vegan excitement might be passing me by in my most frequent haunts.
The vanilla rice milk is pretty sweet but lovely and the biccie (despite being pouched up for sensible consumption) did not last very long in this house! Need I say more!
You know, I thought I was the only one who eager to get to a supermarket and find out what’s vegan, whenever I get to a new city! Good to know it’s not a solitary pastime after all.
Which Sainsbury’s is this if you don’t mind me asking? I go to the big one in Camden and haven’t spotted these 🙂
This is the large one just off Chiswick High Road, just near Chiswick Park Underground station.
I love checking out the supermarkets, especially in other countries.
Just tried some Dark Chocolate Almond Alpro from ky local Sainsbury’s. My it’s good!
It is lovely, right?!
