Vegan Quorn burger

After hearing about this product for many months, I finally saw it in the freezer at a Whole Foods Market store in Los Angeles today.
Now this is going to sound strange, but I couldn’t bring myself to buy it.

If you are a vegan in the UK, you will understand what an annoyance Quorn is in supermarkets. The brand has zero vegan products in the UK but seems to take up the majority of meat free shelf space. It’s a meat alternative monopoly in which we can’t partake.

The brand has such negative association for me that it turned me off trying their only vegan option. I know that isn’t logical, but I just didn’t feel positive about this burger. I put it back in the freezer and walked away.

Anyway, it exists but I still haven’t heard of a UK release date.

  1. I would have done the same!

  2. I feel the same! Quorn seems to be taking up more and more of the space in the meat free sections of the refrigerator and freezer areas of UK supermarkets 🙁
On a positive note thank you for the wonderful website and Twitter account.

  3. I entirely sympathise!

  4. I’ll give it a go when it finally gets here. Do you know if it has palm oil in it?
