I have loved popcorn for as long as I can remember.
When I was a teenager growing up in Australia, I would sometimes head to a city centre cinema with one goal in mind. I wasn’t going to watch a film or meeting friends. I was going to the cinema to buy a giant tub of popcorn.
I would buy a jumbo box and then wander around the city streets happily munching away.
That was a time when cinema popcorn didn’t cost the same as a small mortgage. Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, buying a huge serving of popcorn felt like a treat that didn’t completely empty your wallet.
Fast forward quite a few decades and not much has changed. Well, apart from the price of cinema popcorn.
I still absolutely adore the stuff.
These days I tend to make it at home at least once a week. Freshly popped corn, still warm from the pan, is one of my all-time favourite snacks. My go-to seasoning is a generous sprinkle of ground nutritional yeast mixed with a little salt.
So you can imagine my excitement when I was browsing Planet Organic today and spotted a ready-made popcorn flavoured with Marigold nutritional yeast.
