I’ve written a few blog posts on this platform and shared a few posts on Facebook about being impacted by the deaths of celebrities.
And while it’s not often I feel moved enough to do it, a few years ago I penned a few words about my appreciation for Olivia Newton John (in this Facebook post) and Prince’s death ten years ago had me feeling extremely emotional (in this blog post).
And today I’m taking time to reflect on the life, art, and kindness of another celebrity. The recent death of Dolly Parton has sent seismic waves of grief around the planet and I have my own feelings I feel compelled to share.
In the latest episode of the Tell Me Where I’m Going (Wrong) podcast, Josh and I discuss the life, times, and death of universal megastar Dolly Parton.
It is a poignant discussion where we not only talk about our sadness at her passing, but also her incredible contributions to pop culture and her charitable work.
We also discuss the death of legendary actor Tim Curry who was most famous for his starring role in Rocky Horror Picture Show.
It’s not all doom and gloom, I promise! We still manage a few laughs.

We were told by a friend that we are a bit negative on the podcast!
In the spirit of doubling down on this negativity, this week’s episode finds us talking at length about the 9/11 attacks. I recently watched a video about the ongoing task of trying to identify victims through DNA examination. Absolutely grim but completely fascinating.
Josh and I also talk about the best Dolly Parton impersonator currently performing, our memories of pop band Five Star, and the vegan doner kebab fast food chain with a location in York.
As always, there is a bit of everything in the conversation. We might be negative, but we are also diverse!
