Greenwich Market used to be a vegan hotspot. I’m talking over a decade and a half back in time when Ms. Cupcake launched her business with a regular bakery stall.
Over time, the market welcomed and then said goodbye to a few other vegan businesses and until recently it was a bit thin on the ground for compassionate shoppers.
But now the vegan scene is thriving once again at Greenwich Market!

Vegan Shoes + Ethical Clothing
The Third Estate is a vegan shoe store and ethical boutique now with a second location in Greenwich Market after more than a decade selling from the Kentish Town flagship. Beautiful shoes and clothes. Follow the store on Instagram.
Nutritious + Delicious Food
Vegan Garden is new to me but has been trading for a little while every Saturday and Sunday in the market. The line up of food on offer is extremely tempting with fresh salads, creamy lasagna, and sweet treats. The slice of blueberry and lemon cake I picked up today was top notch. Follow Vegan Garden on Instagram.

Second Location for Popular Bakery
You might know Cream Dream from their Covent Garden bakery and cafe, but they now have this second location in the shape of a semi-permanent market stall in Greenwich. I chatted with the team today who told me they trade EVERY single day in Greenwich Market. Everything is vegan and gluten free. Follow Cream Dream on Instagram.
Slabs of Sugar
One of my favourite vegan shops in the entire world is The Fudge Patch. A 100% vegan fudge shop where you can sample all the flavours and watch it being handcrafted. Also with a second shop in Brighton! Follow The Fudge Patch on Instagram.

There were MANY other food traders with vegan options scattered throughout the market, plus the incredible Red Tent Ethiopia with its 100% vegan cuisine was serving up piping hot bowls. I grabbed a mixed bowl for £10 before heading to the nearby park for lunch. I am not completely clear on how often Red Tent is on site at Greenwich Market but wanted to include them as they are one of my favourite street food vendors of all time.
