London is a big place with a lot of vegan spots to check out.
It can sometimes take me years to visit a business that I’ve heard about… just like this vegan bakery in Walthamstow, East London.

Beaten By A Whisker is an artisan small-batch bakery located on a side street behind St James Street Station, Walthamstow. That’s on the Weaver Line for anyone not familiar with the London Overground.
The bakery and cafe is open 8:30am until 4:00pm from Tuesday through to Sunday.
The bakery is churning out small-batch sourdough loaves that are overnight-fermented and baked daily in house, as well as cakes, cookies, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee to consume in or take away.
Every single item I enjoyed today was exquisite. The peanut caramel brownie. The banana, maple, and walnut loaf. Everything was perfect.
While I concentrated on the sweet goods today, I am extremely interested in getting back to try the savoury options and sandwiches at Beaten By A Whisker.
It took me a long while to visit but it won’t be long until I return, that’s for sure!
