Vegan pizza at the cinema is now a reality in Wales, England, and Scotland as London based Casadei Foods celebrates a listing with Everyman Cinemas. Their plant-based Stracciatella is topping the vegan Pesto and Sundried Tomato Pizza on menus in Everyman venues around the country.
Vegan cheese has officially made it to the fancy sofa cinema experience!
Casadei Foods was founded in 2023 by husband and wife team Carla and Marco. Both are familiar faces in the London vegan scene thanks to Young Vegans, London’s first fully vegan pie and mash shop in Camden Market, and their pizza restaurant near Bethnal Green.
Young Vegans has a special place in the Fat Gay Vegan story too, as they traded regularly at my events including London Vegan Beer Fest and Hackney Downs Vegan Market. It is always fab to see businesses you have watched grow continue to thrive.
Seeing Casadei’s Stracciatella land at Everyman feels like a really huge moment. It shows that plant-based food belongs everywhere, including premium cinema chains.
Vegan cheese is having its big screen moment and I am very much here for it.
