Brass Castle Brewery is nothing short of legendary.
Based in Yorkshire and proudly 100% vegan, Brass Castle has been doing things properly for a long time. This is not a brewery that jumped on veganism or sustainability because it looked good on a website. It is how they operate every single day.

Their brewing process is thoughtful and considered from start to finish. All spent grain and hops are repurposed instead of dumped. Grain heads off to anaerobic digesters to become biogas and fertiliser, while hops are shared with local allotments to help nourish the soil.
Packaging is another area where Brass Castle leads by example. Reusable steel kegs are prioritised wherever possible. When one way Keykegs are used, they are collected and recycled. Cans are shipped in cardboard packaging that many customers return for reuse. It is sensible and responsible.
They are also constantly reviewing how they use water and cleaning chemicals, looking for ways to reduce waste and environmental impact. These choices take effort and ongoing attention, but they make a real difference.
What I love most is how rooted Brass Castle is in its community. Based in Malton, they are part of Yorkshire’s incredible food and drink culture and they actively engage with the people and environment around them.
I have been lucky enough to work with Brass Castle across many years. They have collaborated with me on vegan beer events around the UK and have always shown up with enthusiasm, integrity, and excellent beer. Brass Castle is a real crowd pleaser wherever they go!
If you love good beer and you care about how it is made, Brass Castle is absolutely worth your time and money.
There is also a nice little nudge to investigate their range right now. Throughout February 2026, cans and cases are 10% off. No tricks, no codes. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
