Breakfast in Hackney

There isn’t a lot to this blog post.

I’m just here to tell you about one of the best vegan breakfasts in London. Or is it the best?

Read more below.

The Black Cat in Hackney has been a staple of the London vegan landscape for many years. It was even a vegan hub known as Pogo Cafe if you go back far enough in time.

The Black Cat cafe is a special place for the community. It is a warm, welcoming space with a menu packed solid with savoury plates, cakes, hot drinks, and milkshakes.

Everything is always delicious.

Gil and I popped into the cafe today and had this jumbo breakfast plate delivered to our table. I honestly can’t think of any places doing it better than this full English. So many beans and scramble tofu seasoned to perfection. The zucchini was unexpected but ended up being a highlight of the plate.

Follow The Black Cat on Instagram and see the exact location thanks to Google Maps. The cafe is currently open between 9am and 4pm every day except for Tuesday and Wednesday, when it is closed.

Leave your sentiments of appreciation for The Black Cat in the comments or let me know of a tasty vegan breakfast you’ve enjoyed lately.
