You know how sometimes a vegan bath bomb is more than just a vegan bath bomb? This is one of those times.
LUSH, the high street favourite known for fizzy tubs and bold campaigns, has launched something that genuinely made me pause and smile. And not just because it smells lovely or looks cute sitting on the side of your bath.
The Liberation bath bomb is all about standing up for trans lives and celebrating the kind of future we should all want to live in.

From now until 11 May, 2025 LUSH stores around the UK are running a campaign that is loud, colourful and unapologetically trans positive.
The shop windows are dressed in the pink, white, and blue of the trans flag, there are free booklets packed with info and insight, and the star of the show is a bath bomb that smells like vanilla dreams and community power. It’s all been created in partnership with trans-led organisations like TransActual and My Genderation. They didn’t just slap a trans flag on it. They worked closely with people who live these experiences every day.
Now here’s the bit that might make you feel as warm as a hot bath on a cold morning.
75% of the sales price (before tax) from the Liberation bath bomb goes directly to groups doing the hard graft. Groups advocating for trans rights, creating powerful trans-led media, and pushing for better healthcare and safety. Buying one one of these bath bombs is a small act that adds up. It sends a message that trans people deserve dignity, joy, and the same rights as everybody else on the planet.

It also comes at a time when things are getting scarier for a lot of trans people. Between the media nonsense, legal confusion, and rising hate crimes, just existing as a trans person is too often made into a battleground. This campaign offers a different kind of vision. One where we centre trans voices, challenge fear with creativity, and hold space for joy. It’s tender, defiant, and absolutely what the world needs right now.
LUSH is backing trans people with real action and money, not just words.
So if you’re popping into town, maybe take a detour through your local LUSH. Grab a bath bomb. Pick up the booklet. Scan the QR code. Have a read. Have a soak.
Let’s make standing up for each other something we do with the same ease we drop a bath bomb into water.
Trans solidarity can be vegan AND fragrant. Who knew?
