New vegan croissants for the UK
On the morning of Friday November 1, 2019 (World Vegan Day) I was invited to a new product launch and let me just say that you are in for a treat!
La Boulangere is a French baked goods company that has just launched vegan croissants and pains au chocolat into the UK market!
These were some of the finest vegan pastries I have ever tried.
La Boulangere vegan croissants and pains au chocolat are now available from Ocado, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
Get shopping and enjoy. These are very special products.
Will look out for these; also Waitrose sell a 2 pack of vegan croissants, with spelt flour and dressed with quinoa , costing £1.50
I’m confused, how is this a “new” vegan product? I’ve been buying these croissants from my local sainsburys for at least the last 8 months.
Btw the croissants are absolutely amazing. I haven’t tried the pain au chocolat though as, although my sainsburys also stocks them, I’ve never been a particular pain au chocolat fan so I’ve not tried those yet. But we’ve had these in the Solihull area for at least 8 months, I must’ve bought these at least a dozen times already.
This is old news for me, so I have no idea how theyve only just done a product launch a couple days ago as I’ve been chomping for ages! but if you’re new to these they are delicious. Oh, and they retail at £2.49 for the croissants here in Solihull.
Yes, we’ve had them in the London Sainsbury’s all this year. I’ve only tried the Pains au Chocolat & they are delicious – as they are individually wrapped, they are perfect for having on the go (if you don’t eat them all as soon as you get them home!).
I was excited at first but then when I got home and opened it most of the thing is plastic. Each croissant is individually wrapped in plastic! Eugh. Part of my ethos of being vegan is cutting down on plastic waste
