Pizza and beer
I’m currently in the southern seaside town of Brighton for the annual Vegfest celebrations and I’m investing some time into getting to know some local vegan food.
One plant-based food experience came courtesy of a pizza restaurant called Pizza Face that delivered vegan food and beer to my hotel room.
Check out the photo below.
This wasn’t close to the best pizza I’ve had in my life, but Pizza Face does get top marks for being super inclusive of vegans and having some unusual combinations. The restaurant has multiple vegan beers available, as well as vegan cheese for toppings and sorbet for dessert.
Plus, pizza and beer delivered to your hotel… I mean, c’mon!
You can follow Pizza Face on Twitter.
What is the best U.K pizza you’ve had?
I love Village Pizza in London. Also keen on Basilico.
Pizzaface will deliver to the beach too – great in the summer.
And their ever changing sorbet range (from Boho Gelato) is great, it comes from their deep freezer so is frozen solid. This means even if you don’t have a freezer where you are (hotel or beach!) you can safely order it to enjoy after your meal without it being a melted mess by then.
Just returned from a couple of days in Brighton – sadly no chance to grab pizza but had ace Full English brekkies in VBites & tried both Loving Huts (one at The Level is better – enormous & cheap portions: Lentil Shepherd’s Pie, massive spicy burger & fries, ‘Pina Colada’ smoothie, Fentiman’s Mandarin Jigger & a humongous slice of gorgeous choc cake all for £20 – though the one opposite Vegetarian Shoes is also most pleasant). All three places are 100% vegan with massive menus.
