I’m all about fudge
The vegan ice cream wars have been rather quiet lately. Old favourites such as Booja Booja and Swedish Glace have been keeping me company but there hasn’t been much competition to speak of. I have been trundling along with my predictable frozen dessert consumption for months.
It’s not that I don’t adore the delights made by these companies, but a FGV needs to change it up a bit now and again… and change it up I did during a recent visit to the United States of America.
I don’t think I have ever come across a brand name as appropriate as So Delicious. The vegan super range is unparalleled for gorgeous treats. Cruelty-free consumers can choose from ice cream, cultured coconut milk, sorbet and creamers. It is all delicious.
During my stay in Philadelphia, I popped into the local Whole Foods Market to grab a box of the So Delicious fudge minis. These snack-sized sticks are agave-sweetened, organic and gluten-free. The creamy texture and rich flavour made an instant fan of this fat, gay vegan. I would buy them every week if they were available in the UK.
So Delicious fudge minis are definitely in the vegan ice cream wars hall of fame. But don’t just take my word for it. They also come endorsed by my discerning and delightful niece. I can’t wait until she is old enough to understand the complexities of shipping frozen foods across the Atlantic.
