Henderson’s Relish have gone and released hand cooked crisps and I am not being dramatic when I say these might be the best crisps in the UK right now. I have eaten a lot of crisps in my time and I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert.
If you are not already obsessed with Henderson’s Relish, let me bring you up to speed. The iconic sauce was founded in Sheffield in 1885 and is still family-owned. In Yorkshire kitchens it’s a proper icon and I even know people with tattoos of the bottle design.
Hendo’s is lightly spicy, a little fruity, and deeply savoury (and vegan!). Now imagine that flavour wrapped around a crunchy, hand cooked crisp. That is exactly what is happening here and it works perfectly.
The crunch is spot on and the seasoning even better.
You can order these directly from the Henderson’s Relish online store. They come in cases of 24 small bags or 12 sharing bags and let me be very clear about something. You are going to need at least one case. Possibly more.
