Good news out of London this week as legendary vegan sandwich shop The Coven of Wiches turns 3 years old.
And in better news, today I finally made it along for the first time!

The Coven of Wiches is one of those places I’ve been meaning to get to but just hadn’t found the time. People are always recommending it and I’ve wanted to get along, but life was always life-ing.
But all of that changed today.
I took advantage of the gloriously-sunny London weather today and walked to the deli after catching the Tube to Walthamstow Central.
The reuben sandwich was HUGE. It was so big, I actually struggled to finish it, but I can’t say enough good things about the flavours and the spectacular seitan. 10/10. No notes.
If this isn’t the best sandwich in London, it would be a very, VERY close call.
I also treated myself to the root beer floater.
This drink was a delicious trip back to my childhood. I used to drink the Australian version of a floater which we weirdly called a Spider.
This drink from The Coven of Wiches was made with caramel sauce and Bundaberg root beer. Once again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Nothing but love.
The Coven of Wiches has a special menu on to celebrate its 3rd birthday, but a few of the staples such as the reuben are available all the time with other specials swapping in and out throughout the year.
Make the effort to visit this deli soon. Don’t be an idiot like me and leave it 3 years.
