Vegan Wellbeing Event in East London to Raise Funds

East London is about to be treated to something rather special.

Nourished is an afternoon of plant-based food, information sharing, solidarity, and community care that is taking place in Leyton this March.

Read more below.

Sarah Bentley, founder of Made In Hackney, is joined by the Soul Bowl team and an inspiring line up of plant-based culinary and wellbeing experts who are donating their time to raise money for the Jamaican Hurricane Relief Fund. All donations will go to Food For The Poor Jamaica, supporting communities facing devastating impacts.

You even have the option of enjoying a glorious Indian style plant-based afternoon tea courtesy of host venue Soul Bowl. If that alone does not get you out there on the day, I don’t know what will.

The programme for the afternoon features naturopath, plant-based chef, and pilates instructor Sharon Gardner who will be demonstrating the uses of Irish moss alongside plant-based chef Duchess Nena Ubani who will introduce guests to West African herbs and the traditions behind them.

In addition, naturopath, district nurse, and retreat chef Asa Simonsson will share a fermented foods demonstration, bringing gut health into the conversation. Plant-based chef Jordan Bourzig will also be showing how to create protein packed snacks that actually taste good.

If you are anywhere near east London and care about good food, collective wellbeing and showing up for people in crisis, make the effort. Bring a friend.

Get along to Nourish at Soul Bowl in East London on Sunday March 29, 2026 from 1pm until 4pm.
