Sylvia, the brains behind vegan and vegetarian speed-dating events in Bristol and Liverpool, is bringing the love (and the friendship) to East London. Mark your calendars for Sunday 18 August, 2025 because Love Shack is about to be taken over by plant-based romantics and platonic hopefuls.

Whether you’re looking for sparks, new mates, or just want to dip your toe into an inclusive social circle, this evening’s got you covered. The event is open to vegans and vegetarians in their 20s and 30s (that’s me out, then!), and it’s not all about romance. You’ll meet people who are also up for making friends without the pressure of a dating-only format.
From 7PM, the venue doors open, with actual speed-dating (and speed-friending) rotations running between 8PM and 10PM. There’ll be a Mutual Matchmaking Quiz (don’t ask me how it works, just roll with it), a game of Human Bingo, and a handful of vegan prizes for the lucky ones.
It’s all LGBTQ+ friendly. Attendees are even colour-coded based on who they’re there to meet women, men, everyone or just mates so nobody’s left guessing who’s up for what.
